Events – May and June 2025 examples

There are a number of vineyards that open for public tastings and events.

Below are some of the vineyards that are opening over the May bank holiday weekend and in June 2025.

Thorrington Mill will be open over the bank holiday,

1) Friday 23rd May – 10:00 – 16:00 (Vine Café & bar)

2) Saturday 24th May – 10:00-16:00 (Vine Café & bar) + 16:00-22:00 (Pizza and Wine – book online)

3) Sunday 25th May – 10:00-16:00 (Vine Café & bar)

For English week –

Between June 21st – 29th June – we can do an offer of buy any 6 bottles and then receive a free Bacchus – online and on site (Saturday and Sunday’s

Saturday 21st, sun 22nd, fri 27th, sat 28th, sun 29th – happy to provide a wine tasting tray (x5 wines) – (10:00-16:00 vine café/bar)

Specifically Saturday 28th June in addition – pizza and wine event – 16:00-22:00 (book online) + tours around the vineyard)

Crouch Ridge Estate will be open over the bank holiday

Open 11am – 6pm Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday and then there’s Jazz in the vines Sunday 29th June.

They have a wonderful restaurant and amazing Chardonnay with in door and our door seating.

Clayhill Vineyard.

Open Saturday and Sunday, they service food and wine from their cafe with stunning views over the Crouch River. Their cakes are amazing and their wines are pretty good too.

Dedham Vale Vineyard will open on Friday 23rd May for their Gourmet BBQ Buffet provided by the HungryHog. Live music from 6:30 until 8:30pm. Tickets to be purchased in advanced. Other events are on their website throughout the year.

Tuffon Hall

A beautiful vineyard and main building serving quality wine.

Martins Lane Vineyard

In the heart of the Crouch Valley, Graham and Caroline run Tours to vineyards in the Crouch Valley. Their wines are sold in Fortnum and Mason as well as restaurants such as Le Talbooth, Dedham.

New Hall Vineyard

Not far from Chelmsford, New Hall is one of the biggest vineyard in the East of England

For English Wine Week they have an Open Estate Day on Saturday 21st June with local food legends-Market West Coffee, the Grazeful Girls and Squares & Circles Pizza. At the Open Estate Day guests can expect great offers on wine case sales, wine samples, fully stocked bar to include beers and soft drinks, tours of the winery with their winemakers and the vineyard trail.

Then on Saturday 28th June they will have the Grazeful Girls back on site providing grazing boxes to enjoy alongside wine flights and wine by the glass. On these dates visitors can also take part in the self-guided vineyard trail with free maps available form the Cellar Door shop, this takes visitors around some of the 18 different varieties they grow and lasts roughly 30 minutes.
